Job description
This role is part of the GPU Front-End Implementation team at Apple, focusing on optimizing and delivering world-class GPUs for Apple Silicon. The position involves collaboration with RTL and Physical design teams to generate RTL to netlist and ensure netlist quality. Candidates will engage in various checks and support ECO generation activities. This is an opportunity to contribute to innovative technologies that enhance the lives of millions.
Requirements
- Relevant coursework in Computer Architecture, Digital Logic Design, and CMOS VLSI design is required.
- Experience with at least one scripting language such as Python, Perl, or Tcl is necessary.
- A Bachelor's degree is required.
- Familiarity with Verilog and System Verilog is expected.
- Exposure to industry standard rtl2gds tools for synthesis, place and route, and static timing analysis is needed.
- Understanding of Clock/Reset domain crossing or Voltage crossing principles is important.
- Familiarity with DFT methodologies is required.
- Knowledge of static timing analysis concepts, including setup and hold timing, is necessary.
- Understanding of CMOS device characteristics for area, timing, and power tradeoffs is essential.
Responsibilities
- Generate RTL to netlist collaboratively with RTL and Physical design teams.
- Deliver key netlist quality milestones for your partition.
- Engage in Lint, CDC, and Logic equivalence checks.
- Support ECO generation activities.
- Contribute to the delivery of best-in-class GPUs for consumer products.
