Job description

The Hardware Power Test Engineer will support a team responsible for the validation and qualification of server-related technologies. This role involves physical interaction with hardware in a simulated data center environment, ensuring lab readiness for new products. The engineer will work closely with hardware designers and other teams to troubleshoot and analyze electrical components. The position is part of the AI and Infrastructure team, which focuses on delivering advanced computing capabilities at scale.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in a power electronics technical environment, or 1 year with an advanced degree.
  • Experience with power measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes and programmable power supplies.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages like Python for test automation and data analysis.
  • Knowledge of DC-DC converters and power management methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Define, execute, and document electrical characterization and validation of power distribution networks.
  • Support design engineers with debugging and failure analysis of released products.
  • Develop test procedures for qualification and testing of devices under test using automated tests.
  • Collect and analyze data to enable data-driven engineering decisions and report findings.
  • Collaborate with hardware designers to understand new project architectures and implement necessary support.
