Job description
The SOC Architect role at Google focuses on developing next-generation technologies that enhance machine learning software and hardware stacks. The team is dedicated to driving continuous improvements through insightful performance debugging and collaboration across various teams. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and leadership qualities to manage project priorities and deliverables. The architect will work on critical projects that impact Google's AI and infrastructure capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with Single-Level Cell (SLC), SOC performance, and SOC architecture.
- 2 years of coding experience in one or more of the following languages: C, C++, Java, or Python.
- 2 years of experience in the machine learning field.
- Experience in experimental design, analysis, and performance tools.
- Experience in performance debugging of single-node systems.
Responsibilities
- Learn and build an intuitive understanding of existing data collection, analysis, and visualization workflows.
- Support new and exciting ML paradigms by making contributions across the end-to-end stack and analysis tools.
- Partner with Product Area leads to understand model optimization use cases and drive cross-functional efforts.
- Collaborate across Hardware, Driver, Runtime, and Performance Analysis teams and many other stakeholders.
