The Senior Software Engineer role focuses on embedded systems and firmware within Google's Platforms Infrastructure Engineering team. This team is responsible for developing next-generation technologies that enhance how users interact with information. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in low level systems programming languages such as C++ or C.
- 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
- 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
- 3 years of experience working with embedded operating systems.
Responsibilities
- Write and test product or system development code.
- Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices.
- Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on updates and user feedback.
- Triage product or system issues and debug, track, and resolve them by analyzing sources of issues.
- Participate in or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
