Job description

The Software Engineering Manager for Client Infrastructure at Google Workspace is responsible for leading a team of engineers to optimize and deliver innovative solutions across various platforms. This role involves managing project goals, contributing to product strategy, and developing team members' skills. The team focuses on enhancing the Google Chat product and integrating it with other Workspace tools. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in front-end development with modern web, Android, and iOS technologies and frameworks, in Java or Kotlin, and JavaScript or TypeScript.
  • 3 years of experience in a people management role, including hiring and developing front-end engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Set and communicate team priorities that align with the organization's goals.
  • Develop the mid-term technical goal and roadmap for the team.
  • Design and guide systems designs and write product or system development code.
  • Lead teams of Mobile/iOS, Front-End, and Full Stack Engineers.
  • Meet regularly with team members to discuss performance and provide feedback.
