Job description
The Hardware Engineer position at Google focuses on ensuring product safety and compliance through rigorous testing and design evaluation. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in hardware engineering or a related occupation.
- Experience performing measurements to validate designs against safety specifications.
- Knowledge of systems architecture design for product safety.
- Experience in Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design for product safety.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with hardware design teams and suppliers to understand new project architectures.
- Apply hazard-based safety engineering principles to evaluate and mitigate design hazards.
- Develop test plans and lead compliance testing teams to ensure safety goals are met.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and implement design improvements.
- Perform failure analysis of deployed products and develop strategies for safety initiatives.
