The Staff Software Engineer for Google Ads, Frontend Infrastructure will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable infrastructure components. This role involves addressing complex technical issues and influencing architectural decisions while collaborating across multiple teams. The engineer will work on critical projects that enhance the development experience for engineers and improve the product experience for Google Ads users. This position requires leadership qualities and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience programming in Java, JavaScript, or Dart.
• 5 years of experience testing and launching software products.
• 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
• Experience with micro-frontend architectures and managing application shells for large-scale web platforms.
• Experience leading large-scale, multi-team infrastructure migrations while maintaining production stability.

• Lead the design, implementation, and technical roadmap of large-scale projects within the AWSM infrastructure and Google Ads frontend.
• Solve complex issues in web application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with partner teams to provide infrastructure solutions that meet their needs.
• Mentor and coach fellow engineers, promoting high standards for code quality, testing, and system health.
• Ensure the smooth operation of critical production systems through on-call participation and proactive identification of areas for improvement.
