Job description
The Engineering Manager for the F1 Query Service at Google is responsible for leading a team of engineers to optimize and enhance the performance of distributed querying systems. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience with C++, large-scale distributed systems, and technical infrastructure.
- 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.
- Experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
Responsibilities
- Focus on the health, scalability, and operability of the service infrastructure.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software projects on the roadmap.
- Support various workloads efficiently in F1 Query, addressing new issues in distributed execution.
- Guide engineers across multiple teams and locations.
