Job description
The Electrical Manufacturing Engineer (EME) role at Google focuses on developing custom silicon solutions for direct-to-consumer products. The engineer will evaluate product designs and create processes, tools, and procedures to support Google's technical infrastructure. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability and maintain a seamless user experience. The EME will also support New Product Introduction (NPI) by developing and qualifying manufacturing technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience with a product data management (PDM) tool such as SAP, Agile, or Windchill.
- 5 years of experience developing technical relationships with contract manufacturers or vendors.
Responsibilities
- Support Advanced Manufacturing Engineers in developing manufacturing process solutions and capabilities.
- Strategize the implementation of manufacturing processes into established production and capacity planning.
- Develop manufacturing documentation such as Bills of Materials and assembly drawings in support of New Product Introduction.
- Establish and maintain manufacturing and quality processes and standards for new technologies.
- Collaborate with design and cross-functional engineering teams throughout NPI phases to identify value engineering opportunities.
