Job description
The Data Center Plant Engineer, Electrical role at Google focuses on operating and maintaining sophisticated electrical systems within data centers. Requirements
- Associate's degree, trade school certification, or equivalent practical experience in a related technical field.
- 9 years of electrical experience in an industrial or commercial environment.
- Ability to lift and move 50 lbs of equipment and work on platforms, ladders, and under raised floors.
Responsibilities
- Drive efforts to test, validate, improve, and certify new processes for critical equipment operation.
- Lead compliance activities for data centers and analyze compliance results globally.
- Monitor data center systems operations and control site activities to minimize risk.
- Ensure sites follow facility, maintenance, and standard programs while improving policies.
- Develop strategies to minimize operational costs, improve efficiency, and reduce environmental impact.
