Job description

The Software Development Engineer role in the S3 Fleet Management team at Amazon focuses on building and enhancing AWS S3 Fleet Automation software. This position involves contributing to the evolution of services that support internal AWS customers while addressing challenges related to scale, performance, and efficiency. The team is passionate about distributed systems and aims to deliver high-quality technology products in a fast-paced environment. Candidates will have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers and work collaboratively with high-performing teams.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards and operations
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, deploy, and maintain innovative software solutions to enhance service performance and security.
  • Utilize Java and Java-based frameworks to ensure the quality of team deliverables.
