Job description
As an Operations Engineer at Amazon, you will lead cross-functional projects focused on developing sortation and distribution solutions. You will work closely with talented engineers and manage technology integration projects to meet project goals. This role requires a strong understanding of fulfillment and distribution center designs, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders. You will also be responsible for managing project lifecycles and ensuring timely delivery of solutions.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience as an industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other STEM field.
- Experience managing the lifecycle of cross-functional projects involving automated equipment and integrated systems.
- Knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD, REVIT, or BIM 360 at an intermediate level.
- Experience with Six Sigma and lean manufacturing methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Independently manage complex project lifecycles across organizations and geographies.
- Participate in engineering reviews to impact system solutions and facility processes.
- Partner with internal teams and vendors to set priorities and drive schedules.
- Lead execution of systems and automated equipment designs per established standards.
- Communicate project status, risk analysis, and mitigation plans to leadership.
