Job description
This role is part of the AWS Infrastructure Services team, focusing on the design, planning, delivery, and operation of AWS global infrastructure. The position involves working with a diverse team of experts in the data center industry to ensure the highest standards for safety and security. The main focus is on troubleshooting, project management, and maintaining building management systems (BMS) and electrical power monitoring systems (EPMS). The role also emphasizes collaboration and innovation in the controls space to support AWS data centers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of project management experience in data centers or comparable critical infrastructure
- Experience with power management and power monitoring systems
- Knowledge of critical data center equipment and engineering documentation
- Familiarity with building codes and regulations including Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, or OSHA
Responsibilities
- Train and assist internal customers and stakeholders with BMS and EPMS systems.
- Provide technical assistance and support to operations during the life cycle of the data center.
- Review results and action items from quarterly maintenance for BMS and EPMS and resolve them.
- Develop scope of work, schedule, budget, and level of efforts for BMS and EPMS projects.
- Manage scope, schedule, finance, and execution of BMS and EPMS improvement projects.
- Assist in procurement activities including requests for quotations and proposals.
- Participate in AWS global on-call schedule for immediate BMS and EPMS technical support.
- Attend project-related meetings and coordinate with project leaders.
- Support commissioning activities related to Controls projects in data centers.
- Review, implement, troubleshoot, and iterate on the controls sequence of operation.
