The ECAD Tools Application Engineer role at Amazon Leo focuses on providing stable and reliable ECAD tools and database management for electrical engineering design. The team supports tools and infrastructure for Electrical Engineering, PCB Design, and Library Management. This position involves anticipating tool needs, supporting users, and developing processes to enhance the development of a low Earth orbit satellite constellation. The role requires collaboration with end users to streamline development and improve productivity.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related discipline or equivalent.
• 3+ years as an Application Engineer for one or more CAD tools such as Mentor Xpedition, Cadence Allegro, or Altium Designer.
• 3+ years with frontend design tools and backend ECAD library/design database.
• 3+ years of Enterprise Tool administration experience, including debugging and solving client and server-side application issues.
• Experience with programming/scripting languages such as Batch, VB, PowerShell, Java, C#, Chef, Perl, Ruby, and/or PHP.
• Experience deploying, managing, and optimizing Microsoft Windows Server and virtualization technologies.
• Experience in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Experience architecting or operating solutions built on AWS.
• Experience automating ECAD workflows and processes.
• Experience providing support for engineering applications like Hyperlynx, Ansys, and Reliance.
• Experience with Linux servers and scripting.
• Understanding of network fundamentals including switching and routing.
• Experience with flexlm license servers.
• Experience with LDAP and SAML for user management and authentication.

• Provide a stable and reliable set of ECAD tools for electrical engineering design.
