Job description
The Principal Data Engineer will play a crucial role in the Intelligent Talent Acquisition (ITA) Data team at Amazon, focusing on enhancing the hiring process through innovative data solutions. This position involves leading high-scope technical projects and collaborating with various technical stakeholders to ensure high-quality data provision across multiple services. The role emphasizes the integration of transactional and analytical data while mentoring other engineers in best practices. The Principal Data Engineer will also work on complex product development and interoperability solutions within the Amazon Talent Acquisition ecosystem.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
- Experience in designing, implementing, or consulting on distributed applications
- Data engineering experience or related field
- Experience working with Data/Research Scientists to deploy models for predictions, optimization, and natural language processing
- Knowledge of Human Resources Privacy regulations and strategies for managing personally identifiable data
- Experience with Transaction and Real Time Data Services
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of the technical strategy for the ITA organization, focusing on integrating transactional and analytical data.
- Advise on the overall data strategy for PxT Consumer.
- Design new services and complex features within existing services.
- Conduct capability reviews of ITA data infrastructure to identify improvements and critical gaps.
- Design and implement interfaces with partner organizations.
- Engage in hands-on development for organization-level critical projects.
- Develop, coach, and mentor engineers across ITA to enhance skills.
- Lead technical design review meetings for data services across People Experience Technology Consumer.
