Job description

The role focuses on designing and developing solutions for Aurora DSQL's BOM team, which addresses complex challenges in distributed systems at hyperscale. The team works on metering infrastructure, observability systems, benchmarking automation, and capacity forecasting. Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
  • 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
  • 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications
  • 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field is a plus
  • Experience programming in Rust is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement and deliver state-of-the-art distributed, high-performance data and transaction processing algorithms and solutions.
  • Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Deploy and monitor new features in a highly available and fault tolerant system running in the cloud.
  • Work cross-functionally to help drive business decisions with your technical input.
  • Create metrics, implement automation and other improvements, and resolve the root cause of software defects.
