The role is for a member of the Server Hardware Engineering team at AWS, focusing on the design and development of server products. You will collaborate with various teams to understand customer needs and architect scalable solutions. The position involves leading design and manufacturing partners to ensure high-quality server deployment. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience with design and manufacturing processes.
- 5+ years of experience leading ODMs and other suppliers in product development.
- In-depth expertise in server technologies such as thermal, mechanical design, and signal integrity.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field is preferred.
- 10+ years of hardware development experience focusing on system/server development for large scale applications.
- Experience with server validation and issue root causing.
- Proficient scripting, debugging abilities, and Linux operations commands.
Responsibilities
- Own and lead the design and development of server products.
- Work closely with customers to understand their technical needs and business goals.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production.
- Oversee the fleet of servers developed, monitoring quality and customer requirements.
- Continuously look for ways to improve product performance, quality, and cost.
