The Amazon logistics Design Engineering team is looking for a Design Engineer to lead automation initiatives and develop innovative industrial building designs. This role focuses on integrating automation and robotics into warehouse and delivery center designs while collaborating with cross-functional teams. • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent STEM field
• 8+ years of experience as a Project Engineer, Process Engineer, Project Manager, Manufacturing Engineer, or related occupation
• 5+ years of experience managing multiple large projects
• Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, REVIT, or BIM 360
• Experience in program or project management including cross-functional projects
• Experience within a distribution center, logistics, or manufacturing environment
• Experience with Six Sigma and lean manufacturing
• Experience using MS Project, MS Office, and MS SharePoint
• Master's degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field
• Experience designing or implementing integrated automation solutions

• Provide technical leadership for large-scale engineering projects and building designs
• Design and develop efficient layouts for warehouses and delivery centers
• Integrate automation solutions into facility designs for scalability and efficiency
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies
• Develop and utilize simulation models to evaluate design options and optimize performance
• Conduct spatial integration and trade studies for proposed designs and automation projects
• Ensure successful project implementation from concept through to design completion
• Communicate effectively and present detailed technical solutions to senior executives
