Job description

The role involves working as a Thermal/Mechanical Engineer within the AWS Hardware Engineering Mechanical/Thermal/Robotics team, focusing on the design and development of server platforms. The team is responsible for innovative cooling and mechanical technologies that enhance large-scale server deployments. Candidates will collaborate with experts across various technology areas to improve product performance and reliability. This position requires a hands-on approach and a commitment to high standards in engineering.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in thermal and mechanical design of server technologies
  • Master's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • Experience with the project management of technical projects

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical and thermal design and development for complex electronic systems
  • Design and validate systems and subsystems to meet program objectives
  • Participate in the cross-discipline design process working with other HW and SW team members to develop optimized integrated solutions
  • Conduct failure analysis and solution validation for product development and fleet systems
  • Manage interaction with overseas resources
  • Provide mentorship and technical reviews to a team of mechanical/thermal design engineers
