Job description
The role involves working as a software engineer within the EC2 Nitro organization, specifically on the MLS team that develops next-generation EC2 Supercomputers. The focus is on creating machine learning platforms optimized for high-performance workloads. Candidates will collaborate with various technical teams to enhance hardware, firmware, and software solutions. The position emphasizes innovation and the application of computer science fundamentals in a cloud computing environment.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
- 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- Knowledge of computer architecture, operating systems, and parallel computing
Responsibilities
- Drive development for new EC2 machine learning platforms
- Collaborate with technical teams to develop hardware, firmware, systems, and application software
- Implement coding standards, code reviews, and source control management
- Participate in the full software development life cycle, including testing and operations
- Contribute to the design and architecture of new and existing systems
