The role involves supporting the Facility Operations Center at Amazon, which is responsible for 24/7 monitoring of data center infrastructure. The ideal candidate will assist onsite operations teams to ensure optimal customer experiences through reliability and attention to detail. This position requires a basic understanding of infrastructure and strong communication skills. The Facility Operations Center plays a crucial role in maintaining safety and operational excellence across AWS data centers.
Requirements
- 3+ years of technical support experience or a Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Experience documenting technical customer issues and 1+ years of customer-facing IT role or physical security systems/infrastructure work experience
- 3+ years of customer service experience
- 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
Responsibilities
- Respond, acknowledge, investigate, and dispatch critical alarms
- Monitor the facility infrastructure platform
- Perform change management tasks
- Create and issue tickets
- Follow verbal and written directions
- Maintain an intermediate level of understanding of critical infrastructure
