Job description

The Senior Software Development Engineer will join the Conversational Ad Experiences team within Sponsored Products and Brands at Amazon. This team focuses on creating innovative sponsored conversational shopping experiences using large language models. The role involves driving major product and engineering initiatives while building large-scale, low-latency distributed systems. The engineer will collaborate with the science team to implement LLM models in production and contribute to LLMOps, impacting millions of Amazon shoppers worldwide.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
  • 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
  • 5+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Drive major product and engineering initiatives within the team
  • Build large-scale, low-latency distributed systems
  • Develop ML infrastructure and data processing pipelines
  • Partner with the science team to implement LLM models in production
