Job description

As a Software Development Engineer on the AR Sortation Planning team at Amazon Robotics, you will design, develop, and deploy full-stack robotic planning and tracking solutions. The team focuses on leveraging AI and AWS infrastructure to optimize sortation processes, enhancing safety, job satisfaction, and efficiency. You will collaborate with data scientists and engineers to create ML-powered algorithms that improve package flow and fleet orchestration. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your contributions directly impact millions of packages daily.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
  • 2+ years of full stack development experience
  • Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
  • Master's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Machine Learning fundamentals
  • Experience developing software code in one or more programming languages such as Java or Python

Responsibilities

  • Build scalable, flexible, and maintainable software solutions for robotics technology integration problems.
  • Work with peers of diverse backgrounds to solve challenging problems in a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Take ownership of end-to-end solutions while collaborating with stakeholders and teammates.
