This role involves building Tier-1 services for Amazon's advertising business, focusing on self-service performance advertising products. The team is responsible for managing Advertiser Account Permissions and developing next-generation Access Management systems. The position requires collaboration with Principal Engineers and mentoring junior engineers while driving technology choices and innovation. Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
- 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
- 5+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Build Tier-1 services to handle millions of requests per day while maintaining low response latencies.
- Develop distributed solutions with service-oriented architecture for high performance platforms.
- Design new and rebuild existing solutions for the next generation of advertising services.
- Drive appropriate technology choices for the business and lead continuous innovation.
- Mentor and grow junior engineers within the team.
