Job description

Zappos Tech is seeking a Software Development Engineer II (SDE2) to join their iOS Mobile team. In this role, you will significantly contribute to the development of the Zappos iOS app, enhancing the customer journey from search to checkout. You will work closely with product managers, UX designers, and engineers to create optimal customer experiences. The team values collaboration, continuous learning, and innovation in delivering seamless shopping experiences.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 3+ years of Apple platform development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience with design patterns, reliability, and scaling
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Usage of generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency
  • Ability to recognize opportunities where generative AI could enhance products, workflows, or customer experiences

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain native iOS apps using prominent iOS technologies and frameworks
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, UX designers, and engineers to create optimal customer experiences
  • Provide guidance and feedback to maintain high coding standards and practices
  • Address complex issues within a well-understood technology strategy
  • Uphold and promote best practices within the team
