Job description

The role involves building hyper-scale data applications within the Defensive Security team at Amazon. Engineers will work on mission-critical data processing pipelines that handle petabyte-scale data in real time. Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards and operations
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C#

Responsibilities

  • Design and review architecture for software systems
  • Develop software features in Java and Python using AWS services
  • Set and achieve a high bar for operational excellence
  • Build partnerships with technical internal Amazon stakeholders worldwide
  • Conduct system resilience testing and preparation
