• 6+ years of data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance experience
• 6+ years of industrial or commercial engineering experience in mission critical facilities
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
• Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment
• Experience in researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment
• Professional Engineering or Architectural License
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations for your region
• Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents

• Conduct site assessments against AWS standards for colocation data centers and facility upgrades
• Perform risk analysis and availability calculations for vendor-owned collocation data center infrastructure
• Influence AWS design and specification requirements for colocation products
• Investigate and document root-cause failure analysis associated with infrastructure failures
• Work with vendors and local agencies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and municipal requirements
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and commissioning teams to validate critical systems
• Support operations and data scientists in analyzing utilization and performance of critical systems
• Travel to data center sites as required, both internationally and domestically, up to 50%
