Job description

The Data Center Controls Engineer role at AWS involves troubleshooting and managing building management systems (BMS) and electrical power monitoring systems (EPMS) within AWS data centers. You will work with a diverse team of experts to ensure high standards of safety and security while innovating in the controls space. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders and participation in project management activities. This role emphasizes the importance of maintaining operational efficiency and developing new processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, engineering technology, or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of industrial controls and automation experience.
  • Experience with industrial control systems, both hardware and software.
  • Experience in critical environments such as data centers, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and perform Root Cause Analysis for BMS and EPMS related issues.
  • Train and assist internal customers with the design and operation of BMS and EPMS systems.
  • Provide technical assistance and support during the data center life cycle.
  • Manage scope, schedule, finance, and execution of BMS and EPMS improvement projects.
  • Participate in AWS global on-call schedule for immediate technical support.
