Job description

Amazon's Center for Quantum Computing is seeking a Hardware Development Engineer to join a diverse team of experts in physics, materials science, and engineering. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, material science, physics or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of a scripting language such as Python or R.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication abilities.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment.
  • Experience working with cryogenic systems.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders for accelerated learning initiatives.
  • Execute scientific measurements under established test standards.
  • Produce clear and accurate documentation.
  • Streamline system integration and optimize throughput.
  • Maintain assigned instruments autonomously.
  • Build, run, and debug automated measurement sequences.
