This role is for a software engineer focused on building and owning functional models of SoC subsystems for AWS's custom silicon. The team develops virtual platforms that enable software teams to start development before silicon availability. The position involves working closely with software teams to enhance usability and performance of the models. Candidates will engage in interesting engineering challenges such as full-system simulation and performance optimization.

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle
• 7+ years of non-internship professional experience writing functional or performance models
• Experience programming with C++ and/or SystemC
• Knowledge of SoC, CPU, GPU, and/or ASIC architecture
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Experience developing models that integrate with QEMU
• Experience with PyTest and GoogleTest
• Familiarity with modern C++ (11, 14, etc.)
• Experience in multi-threaded programming

• Build and own functional models of SoC subsystems for the virtual platform

• Work with software teams to understand workflows and debug issues
