Job description

The Process Engineer Intern/Co-op role at Amazon Robotics focuses on manufacturing process optimization through data collection and problem-solving initiatives. The team is dedicated to continuous improvement in manufacturing areas, emphasizing safety, delivery, quality, and cost. Interns will have the opportunity to work on real-world challenges and contribute to the development of innovative solutions. Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Currently working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree with a graduation date between December 2026 and August 2027
  • Currently enrolled in a program located in the United States with at least one semester left after the co-op
  • Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Operations, Supply Chain Management, Engineering Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • Must be eligible and available for a full-time (40h/week) co-op during the 6-month duration
  • Knowledge of different process innovation methodologies and their practical application
  • Understanding of metrics, process capabilities, LEAN and IE techniques
  • Proficient with AutoCAD / 2D layouts
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with both technical and business staff
  • Excellent written, speaking, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with creating process models

Responsibilities

  • Conduct manufacturing process optimization projects involving data collection and cycle time studies
  • Create business process models using best practice techniques and design documents
  • Gather, analyze, and document functional and technical requirements for new projects
  • Research production system issues and resolve user problems as needed
  • Conduct periodic project updates and review sessions with cross-functional team members
  • Support supplier improvement initiatives
  • Document Manufacturing and Tech Operations-specific process and project activities
  • Participate in Lean Initiatives including 5S performance auditing and Kaizen Event sessions
