The Project Design Electrical Engineer will lead design projects in operational data centers, focusing on remediating issues, upgrading infrastructure, and adding new services. This role requires a US Citizen with an active TS/SCI security clearance. The engineer will collaborate with various teams to ensure consistency and reliability in service delivery. The position is part of the Amazon Dedicated Cloud Fleet Remediation Engineering team, which supports data center projects for the US intelligence community.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• NETA or ASHRAE certification or commissioning specific education courses
• Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Experience with the design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission critical facilities, especially data centers
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations for your region
• Knowledge of commercial or industrial power systems or mechanical systems
• Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production
• Experience using a variety of web-based and other software tools for calculation and data processing

• Own the design for existing data center upgrades and design solutions that improve availability and sustainability.
• Perform design and equipment submittal review for data centers in your region.
• Interface with internal and external data center design engineering teams and other stakeholders.
• Act as a technical subject matter expert during new remediation projects.
• Support construction, commissioning, operations, and turnover.
• Manage design and as-built drawings and documents.
• Prepare and present progress reports to all relevant stakeholders.
