Job description

Annapurna Labs within AWS is looking for a Signal or Power Integrity Engineer to join their hardware team. The role focuses on SI/PI analysis and optimization of advanced packaging solutions for next-generation machine learning and data center ASICs. The engineer will work closely with senior engineers to ensure that advanced packaging technologies meet performance and manufacturing targets. This position emphasizes collaboration and mentorship within a diverse and inclusive team environment.

Requirements

  • BS degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in signal integrity, power integrity, or package design.
  • Solid understanding of either SI or PI, with working awareness of the other.
  • Experience with EM simulation and SI/PI tools such as HFSS, Cadence Sigrity, or equivalent.
  • Understanding of advanced packaging technologies like 2.5D/3D-IC and silicon interposers.

Responsibilities

  • Perform package-level SI or PI simulations for various architectures under guidance from senior engineers.
  • Support package stack-up design by assisting with dielectric material evaluation and impedance control analysis.
  • Run high-speed channel simulations for die-to-die and die-to-board interfaces.
  • Model advanced interconnects for signal or power paths.
  • Coordinate with SoC die-level teams and board design teams to gather requirements.
