As a Controls Colo Engineer at AWS, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the operational efficiency and availability of colocation data centers. You will collaborate with diverse teams to develop and implement engineering standards while providing full life-cycle support to data centers. The position requires strong engineering judgment and the ability to manage projects effectively. You will also contribute to an inclusive culture that values bold ideas and continuous improvement.

• 6+ years of data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance experience
• 6+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including data centers, power generation, or oil and gas facilities experience
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
• Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment
• Professional Engineering or Architectural License
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations for your region

• Work closely with the control team of DCE Colocation Design and Standards to develop and implement new and existing standards.
• Perform design and equipment submittal review for Controls for new Colo Data Centers to ensure consistent standards.
• Review and identify risks within the scope of Building Management System and Electrical Power Monitoring System for in-flight AWS Colo Data Centers.
• Troubleshoot, conduct Root Cause Analysis, and create Corrective Action documentation for site/equipment failures related to control equipment.
• Conduct site audits of Colo Data Centers and produce reports outlining risks with recommended mitigations.
• Support construction, commissioning, and turnover for Controls for any new construction projects.
