Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a Senior Quality Control Engineer to lead mechanical quality control for data center projects. This role involves overseeing off-site assembly processes and ensuring compliance with quality standards across multiple sites in North America and South America. The successful candidate will manage vendor performance and conduct technical quality inspections while collaborating with various stakeholders. • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience
• 8+ years' experience in mechanical quality control or quality assurance of data centers or critical infrastructure
• Hands-on experience with mechanical construction processes and HVAC systems
• Experience managing vendors, contractors, or technical teams
• Experience with technical field trade oversight and off-site prefabrication management
• Strong technical writing and reporting skills

• Provide technical field trade oversight for mechanical components and manage off-site prefabrication quality processes
• Lead root cause analysis for mechanical quality issues and coordinate corrective actions
• Support IPQ implementation across multiple AMER sites and manage quality milestone tracking
• Maintain quality control documentation and prepare weekly progress reports
• Conduct routine mechanical quality inspections and manage non-conformance resolution processes
• Directly oversee third-party vendor performance and conduct vendor meetings
• Develop and ensure alignment with IPQ technical standards and validate compliance with AWS specifications
• Interface with Construction Management, Design Engineering, and various stakeholders on technical quality execution
