As an IT Support Engineer II at Amazon, you will leverage your technical expertise to support and enhance technology solutions across various sites. This role involves managing significant projects with minimal supervision and resolving customer issues during critical situations. Requirements
- 3+ years of IT client, server, and network service delivery experience
- 4+ years of IT systems or relevant commercial production environment experience
- 4+ years of networking experience including DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI Model, and TCP/IP
- 4+ years of Microsoft administration, Linux administration, or Cisco IOS (CLI) experience
- 4+ years of troubleshooting experience in a multi-user high availability environment
- 4+ years of PC repair, troubleshooting, deployment, and liquidation experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of supporting a Windows server environment experience
- Experience supporting video conference and teleconference equipment
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot difficult IT problems without standard operating procedures.
- Plan and coordinate change management processes and templates.
- Collaborate with internal teams or vendors to execute projects.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts within the team.
- Audit the quality of work performed and provide constructive feedback.
- Automate manual tasks and create or improve small tools for efficiency.
- Serve as the first point of escalation for IT issues.
- Participate in the hiring, training, and development of team members.
- Support customers from multiple buildings and remote locations.
- Travel within the local or regional area to provide customer support.
