The Server Hardware Engineering team at AWS is responsible for designing and developing server products that support Amazon's cloud infrastructure. This role involves collaborating with various teams to understand customer needs and architecting solutions for large-scale deployment. The position requires a focus on performance, quality, and cost while leading design and manufacturing partners. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience with design and manufacturing processes.
- 5+ years of experience leading ODMs and other suppliers in product development.
- 10+ years of experience in server, storage, networking, or large-scale distributed systems.
- Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans, and functional test procedures.
- Experience in server technologies such as thermal, mechanical, power, and signal integrity.
- Proficient scripting, debug abilities, and Linux operations commands.
- Experience troubleshooting issues and root cause analysis.
- Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production.
Responsibilities
- Own and lead the design and development of server products.
- Work closely with customers to understand their technical needs and business goals.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of engineers to deliver products.
- Oversee the fleet of servers developed, monitoring quality and customer requirements.
