Job description

Amazon Web Services is seeking Software Development Engineers to develop and maintain networking solutions for AWS. The role involves working with a diverse team of engineers to create embedded platforms that support one of the world's largest cloud networks. Candidates will focus on designing Linux-based solutions for networking products, ensuring high quality and reliability. This position offers the opportunity to innovate and impact the infrastructure that powers AWS services.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
  • Experience in Linux and Networking protocols
  • Experience with Rust, Go, C and/or C++ languages
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Experience with Networking, Linux Kernel and/or Forwarding Stack

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement embedded software for networking switches and routers.
  • Collaborate with network engineering, software, and hardware team members.
  • Understand Amazon's network architecture, operation, and security.
  • Innovate ways to build, automate, and scale the network.
  • Ensure high performance, reliability, control, and visibility for Amazon's global network.
