This role is for a Software Development Engineer at Amazon Ads, focusing on redesigning advertising experiences through advanced generative AI technologies. • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
• Experience in machine learning, data mining, information retrieval, statistics or natural language processing
• Experience integrating GenAI tools and applying responsible AI practices

• Design, develop, and operate large-scale distributed systems for Sponsored Products and Brands advertising.
• Build and optimize data pipelines and services to improve ad retrieval, allocation, and recommendations.
• Apply Generative AI and Large Language Models to deliver more relevant, personalized ad and shopping experiences.
• Collaborate with applied scientists, product managers, and other engineers to define and deliver customer-focused solutions.
• Write high-quality, maintainable code and participate in design and code reviews.
• Drive operational excellence through monitoring, automation, and continuous improvement.
