Job description
The Warranty Sourcing Program Manager role at Microsoft focuses on transforming and optimizing the spares supply chain within the Cloud Supply Chain organization. This position involves collaborating with key business units and leading strategic initiatives to enhance sourcing and supply chain management. The candidate will work closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to drive decision-making and develop best practices. This role is critical in ensuring the effective management of hardware sourcing for data centers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience in end-to-end supply chain processes such as planning, sourcing, logistics, and fulfillment.
- Strong analytics capability with experience in Excel, PowerBI, or Tableau.
- Distinctive problem-solving, leadership, and analytical thinking experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.
Responsibilities
- Collect, synthesize, and communicate analysis and insights to drive strategy and decision-making for senior leadership.
- Prioritize deliverables across multiple initiatives running in parallel.
- Lead key strategic initiatives for the organization along with a cross-functional team.
- Work with senior leaders across the organization to shape and drive strategic agendas.
- Benchmark industry practices and develop best practices within the Microsoft Cloud Supply Chain.
- Build category strategies and support project teams in business requirements development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers on enabling forecast collaboration.
- Manage piece part, asset, and supplier related data to provide analytical insights.
- Support Sourcing managers on supplier engagement and onboarding onto key strategic initiatives.
