Job description
The Engineering Manager for Agentic Automation in Trust and Safety at Google will lead a high-performing team focused on developing scalable AI-powered solutions to enhance user protection. This role involves managing engineers across multiple teams and locations, driving the architectural direction of complex distributed systems, and collaborating with cross-functional partners. The manager will also be responsible for defining technical roadmaps and ensuring best practices in code quality and documentation. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and leadership skills to turn high-level goals into operational realities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development, including experience with distributed systems and large-scale backend infrastructure.
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role, including defining technical roadmaps and managing execution for a software engineering team.
- 3 years of experience with full stack development, including back-end languages such as Java, Python, Golang, or C++, and front-end technologies like JavaScript or TypeScript.
- 2 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.
Responsibilities
- Identify and propose new ways to leverage technology, automation, and AI to accelerate the trust and safety mission.
- Lead critical technical initiatives for trust and safety, from requirements gathering to implementation and deployment.
- Define and own the technical roadmap for the team, translating goals into executable engineering workstreams.
- Guide the team in building scalable, reliable, and high-quality AI-powered solutions and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to define and evolve the product roadmap for the organization's technology stack.
