Job description
The Front-End Engineer II role at Amazon focuses on designing, building, and optimizing high-performance web applications. Requirements
- 4+ years of non-internship professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS experience.
- 3+ years of experience with computer science fundamentals including object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithm design.
- Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as Angular and React.
- 3+ years of experience with agile software development methodologies.
- Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node.
- Experience with front-end testing frameworks like Jest, Cypress, and React Testing Library.
- Knowledge of web performance optimization techniques.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain responsive, high-performance front-end applications using modern frameworks.
- Collaborate with UX designers, product managers, and backend engineers to translate requirements into polished user interfaces.
- Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.
- Conduct and participate in code reviews to ensure quality and share knowledge across the team.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, accessibility issues, and cross-browser compatibility problems.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and help define front-end best practices and standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and support their technical growth.
- Continuously improve development processes, tooling, and CI/CD pipelines.
