Job description
The EPMS Controls Design Engineer will join the Controls Design Engineering team within AWS Infrastructure Services, focusing on enhancing global data center design standards related to control, automation, and electrical power monitoring systems. This role involves collaboration with various teams to ensure safety and security while delivering efficient solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data center environmental controls, IT infrastructure, and project management. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to innovative building controls and automation initiatives.
Requirements
- 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering experience in mission critical facilities.
- 4+ years of commissioning experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in utilizing or generating electrical drawings and design engineering documents.
- 1+ year of project management experience focused on data center or critical environments projects.
- Professional Engineer License.
- Experience with building codes and regulations for your region.
Responsibilities
- Track, document, communicate, and enhance global data center design standards.
- Review MEP drawings with a focus on electrical drawing sets for EPMS design content.
- Create EPMS scopes of work and provide RFI support.
- Coordinate with regional project managers to finalize project scopes of work.
- Attend Factory Witness Tests and Equipment Qualification Tests to validate EPMS functionality.
- Create, update, and maintain controls points list and specifications.
- Develop and disseminate specification documents for global projects.
- Lead collaboration with multiple teams to accomplish initiative goals.
- Manage requests for information on new construction builds and existing site facilities support.
- Serve as the central point of contact for multiple internal and external groups regarding EPMS design standards.
