Job description
This position is part of the global controls team at AWS, focusing on troubleshooting, project management, and maintaining building management and electrical power monitoring systems. The role involves collaborating with experts in the data center industry to innovate processes and standards. Candidates must possess a Top Secret security clearance and be able to manage multiple stakeholder deliverables. Requirements
- Current, active TS/SCI US Government Security Clearance
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Experience in a data center or other critical environment
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
- 4+ years of military experience
- Experience designing, configuring, programming, installing, troubleshooting or servicing HVAC Controls or Electrical SCADA systems
- Experience using common industrial communication protocols such as MQTT, BACnet, and/or MODBUS
- Experience designing data centers or critical MEP infrastructure
- Prior AWS/Amazon experience
Responsibilities
- Train and assist internal customers and stakeholders with BMS and EPMS systems.
- Provide technical assistance and support to operations during the life cycle of the data center.
- Review results and action items from quarterly maintenance for BMS and EPMS and resolve them.
- Develop BMS and EPMS project scope of work, schedule, budget, and level of effort.
- Manage scope, schedule, finance, and execution of BMS and EPMS improvement projects.
- Assist in procurement activities including requests for quotations and proposals.
- Participate in AWS global on-call schedule to provide immediate technical support.
- Attend project-related meetings and report status to Controls and stakeholders management.
- Support Controls projects related commissioning activities in the data centers.
- Review, implement, troubleshoot, and iterate on the controls sequence of operation.
- Develop and modify controls logic programming and graphical user interfaces.
- Financially manage BMS and EPMS service contracts.
- Visit assigned in-operation data centers to troubleshoot and supervise vendor work.
