Job description
The System Validation Engineer role at Google focuses on ensuring seamless performance between Radio Frequency (RF) and other subsystems within fully integrated systems. The position is part of the Platforms and Devices team, which develops new technologies to enhance user interaction with computing. The engineer will lead initiatives for System Coexistence Engineering Requirements Specification and collaborate with various engineering partners. This role emphasizes the creation and execution of comprehensive test methodologies for Pixel product subsystems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a specialized field.
- 4 years of experience working in consumer product development with a focus on product creation and validation.
- Experience in Python and general scripting.
- Experience creating tools for hardware debugging.
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional System Coexistence Engineering Requirements Specification initiatives.
- Design and oversee comprehensive test methodologies, plans, and execution for all Pixel product subsystems.
- Drive test efficiency and coverage by developing test instruments, infrastructure, and specialized validation software.
- Architect advanced validation solutions and custom test scripts to automate and optimize System Coexistence testing workflows.
- Direct problem triage and root-cause analysis for coexistence issues.
