Job description

Amazon is looking for a talented Electro-Mechanical Engineer to join their robotics team, focusing on testing the performance of robotic End Effectors. The role involves working with advanced robotics systems that integrate AI and electromechanical design to create adaptable automation solutions. Candidates will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to push the boundaries of robotic manipulation and human-robot interaction. Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience designing, implementing, executing and analyzing tests
  • Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent
  • Experience characterizing force, torque, speed, current, temperature, EMI, etc.
  • Experience evaluating durability, signal integrity, and reliability
  • Proficiency with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
  • Ability to support domestic and international travel as required by the program

Responsibilities

  • Author functional requirements, design verification plans, and test procedures
  • Execute test system designs that meet the requirements
  • Build and test electromechanical subsystem prototypes and integrated systems
  • Work efficiently to support rapid schedules
  • Collaborate with Mechanical, Electrical, and Controls engineers
  • Design and build test fixtures and data collection solutions
