Amazon is seeking a talented and motivated Electro-Mechanical Engineer to design, implement, and launch novel robotics systems. Requirements
- Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent.
- 10+ years of experience selecting, designing, and integrating sensors into robotic systems.
- Expertise in rotary encoders, force sensors, tactile sensors, and non-contact sensors typically found in robotic grippers/hands.
- Deep understanding of sensor sensitivities and nonlinearities.
- Experience designing durable wire harnesses that maintain sensor signal integrity.
- Hands-on experience crafting proof-of-concept models and debugging subsystems.
- Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production.
- Experience with project management of technical projects.
- Experience designing and debugging tooled components.
- Ability to support domestic and international travel as required by the program.
Responsibilities
- Author functional requirements, design verification plans, and test procedures.
- Execute product designs that meet the requirements.
- Build and test electromechanical subsystem prototypes and integrated systems.
- Support product releases to manufacturing and customer deployments.
- Work efficiently to support rapid schedules.
- Collaborate with Mechanical, Electrical, and Controls engineers.
- Proficiency with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
