Job description

As an IT Support Engineer I at Amazon, you will leverage your technical skills to provide high-quality support for computer hardware, operating systems, and enterprise application software. You will work within a defined geographical area, ensuring that IT infrastructure remains operational during production hours. This role involves troubleshooting straightforward problems and managing local technical projects while interacting with management and staff to enhance IT solutions. Your contributions will be vital in supporting Amazon Operations and delighting customers through effective IT support.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience with Windows Server technologies including AD, DFS, Print Services, and SCCM.
  • 2+ years of experience troubleshooting in a multi-user high availability environment.
  • 2+ years of experience in PC repair, troubleshooting, deployment, and liquidation.
  • 1+ years of experience in IT client, server, and network service delivery.
  • 2+ years of experience in networking concepts such as DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI Model, and TCP/IP.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting Windows, Mac, or Linux operating systems in a corporate setting.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting and maintaining a corporate network environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in computer networking.
  • Experience supporting video conference and teleconference equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform network engineering and troubleshooting, data cabling, and systems administration in various software and hardware environments.
  • Ensure infrastructure networking and computing systems remain available during production hours.
  • Interact with management and staff to provide analytical and technical assistance for continuous improvement of IT solutions.
  • Manage local technical projects effectively.
  • Maintain or create policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Identify root causes of operational issues and process inefficiencies.
  • Support customers from multiple buildings in the area, as well as remote customers.
  • Travel within your local or regional area to provide customer support.
