As a Data Center Project Engineer at AWS, you will be part of a diverse team focused on constructing energy-efficient and cost-effective data centers. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure high-quality delivery of construction projects while maintaining safety and security standards. This role involves direct interaction with construction managers and stakeholders on-site, emphasizing communication and coordination across teams. You will also manage documentation and tracking systems to support project execution.

• 3+ years of vendor management experience
• 4+ years of relevant work experience in a data center or other critical environment
• 5+ years of data center engineering or operations experience
• 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Electrical or mechanical Journeyman License
• Operating engineering license such as DC II, DC III, or equivalent

• Establish communication and coordination across a data center region’s general contractors, stakeholders, and internal teams.
• Develop and maintain a tracking system for design changes, RFI’s, and change orders.
• Request and review MOPs for proper detail, necessity, and risk.
• On-board new vendors for badging and orientation.
• Update project management software with milestone dates, correspondence, and documents.
• Monitor delivery of owner furnished material to site.
• Compile and store construction data from vendors.
• Manage various checklists including substantial completion checks, safety, and quality.
