Amazon Web Services is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join a global engineering team focused on designing and innovating data center electrical systems. The role involves ensuring high uptime for customers and driving continuous improvements in designs. Engineers will work collaboratively with various internal and external groups while managing projects from concept through construction. This position is based in Seattle, WA, with travel required to data centers across the AMER region.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Experience with the design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission critical facilities, especially data centers
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations for your region
• Knowledge of commercial or industrial power systems or mechanical systems
• Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production

• Create data center electrical designs and collaborate with other disciplines to produce a construction document set.
• Develop designs that meet or exceed quality requirements while adhering to budgetary constraints.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and municipal requirements and building codes by working with local agencies having jurisdiction.
• Review and approve equipment submittals.
• Define project scope and provide technical support for information requests during construction phases.
• Collaborate with commissioning teams to test and validate the installation, operation, and performance of electrical systems.
• Manage concurrent projects across multiple geographical regions.
• Travel to sites for reviews and work with onsite field engineers, providing engineering evaluations and electrical systems audits as needed.
